# Quarry With the quarry you can automate the farming of various stones. To place it, the realm owner needs [level](https://wiki.landania.net/english/player/level) 20. When you place the machine for the first time, it takes 15 minutes to finish building. This time can be skipped with [crystals](https://wiki.landania.net/english/player/currencies/crystals) by clicking on the building structure and confirming in the chat. {% hint style="info" %} You can place a maximum of 2 quarries on your realm. {% endhint %}

You can skip the setup time of a machine with crystals

Each machine has two key parameters: how fast it farms resources and how much memory it has. These two parameters can be upgraded individually for each machine. You can also use upgrades to change which resource the machine farms.\ You can open the inventory of the machine by right-clicking on it.

You can dismantle the machine using the button at the bottom right. You will get the item back, but you will lose your purchased upgrades. In the top bar, the resources farmed by the machine are stored until you can take them out by clicking on them. The storage space can be upgraded up to 4x. If there is no more storage space, the machine will not generate any more resources until you empty the machine. {% hint style="warning" %} It is not possible to empty the machine with a hopper. This must be done by hand. {% endhint %} ### Storage Location Upgrade To upgrade the storage place you can use the second button from the left side. Here you can also see which resources and which level you need for this. You can also see the required build time here. During this time the machine does not farm any resources. The time can be skipped with crystals.

For this you can use the button on the bottom left. Here is also indicated which resources and which level you need for it. You can also see the required build time here. By default, one resource is unlocked. However, you can unlock more materials. Once you have unlocked a material, you can switch between them at will.

So you don't even have to be on your realm to generate resources!
